Life Behind the Scenes at Satori Tattoo Collective

Meet Your Studio Assistant

When you walk through the doors at Satori Tattoo Collective, you’re usually greeted by me first. I’m the studio assistant, Kaitlin, the one answering phones, setting up appointments, helping you pick out jewelry, posting on social media and making sure the shop runs smoothly from open to close.

While our artists are creating beautiful, permanent art, I’m working behind the scenes to keep everything organized, welcoming, and stress-free for both clients and crew.

What I Do at Satori

Being a studio assistant means wearing a lot of hats — and I love every one of them.

• ✨ Greeting clients and helping them feel comfortable

• 📅 Scheduling tattoos and piercings

• 💌 Managing DMs, calls, and social media content

• 🧼 Keeping the shop clean, stocked, and organized

• 💎 Assisting with jewelry selection and checking out piercing appointments

• 🖤 Supporting our artists so they can focus on creating

I’m here to make sure your experience doesn’t just start when the needle hits skin, it starts the moment you reach out to us.

Creating a Calm, Creative Space

Satori isn’t just a tattoo shop, it’s a collective. We pride ourselves on being welcoming, professional, and intentional. My role plays a big part in maintaining that vibe. Whether it’s answering questions about aftercare, helping someone feel less nervous before their first tattoo, or gently reminding parents about shop etiquette, I’m here to protect the energy of the space.

Every detail matters — from how the front desk looks to how you’re greeted when you walk in.

Outside the Shop

When I’m not at Satori, I’m usually creating something. I love working with my hands — crochet projects, engraving mirrors, experimenting with chainmail — anything detailed and artistic. Being surrounded by creativity all day at the studio definitely fuels my own.

Art doesn’t stop when I clock out.

Why I Love What I Do

There’s something special about watching someone leave the shop glowing — whether they just got their first piercing, added to their tattoo collection, or finally booked the piece they’ve been dreaming about.

I may not be the one holding the tattoo machine, but I’m proud to be part of the process. Supporting the artists, welcoming the clients, and helping Satori run smoothly is something I truly care about.

Next time you come in, say hi — I’ll probably be at the front desk with a coffee in hand, answering emails and hyping up your next appointment. 🖤
